World War 2 – Y5 Dramatic conventions

In this unit, the children explore the issues around evacuation during the second world war.  They use radio broadcasts, newsreels and images from the time to identify the emotional impact created on the audience and how it has been created.  In groups, they write and perform their own scripted radio broadcast.  Resources for the unit are available from various web sources;
