Lost and found – Y2 Stories and settings

This unit is based on the story of loneliness and friendship –  ‘Lost and Found’ by Oliver Jeffers.   The children begin by studying the film based on the book and the two main characters – the boy and the penguin.  They then go on to compare the book and film.  They explore how changing the penguin character for a different animal would change the setting.  Finally, using the structure of the original story, they write their own Lost and Found stories.
