This course is for Primary English Subject leaders, Primary headteachers, Senior leaders and experienced teachers who have previously attended Day 1 or have received similar training linked closely to the content of Day 1.
During the day, delegates will consider the freedoms available to schools to create an innovative and creative curriculum to inspire both teachers and children with a particular focus on reading for pleasure, poetry and grammar teaching. They will reflect on the steps their school has already taken to prepare for the new National curriculum, evaluate the success so far and identify school priorities and implementation strategies to support school wide innovation .
